Panache Gallery & GiftsJan and Mike welcome you to Panache Gallery and Gifts - a family run art gallery and gift shop in SE Cornwall and only a few miles from Plymouth, Looe, Polperro, Torpoint, etc. We are delighted you have taken time to visit our website and pleased to introduce to you our range of original art, prints, jewellery and gifts for all occasions. Many of our products are locally produced, handmade in Cornwall and Devon and exclusive to Panache Gallery and Gifts.
We are now in our third year since taking over the Panache Gallery in 2009 and would like to thank everyone who has sent us their best wishes and for the fantastic support we have received from our customers. The Panache gallery has now been in SE Cornwall, near Plymouth, for over 6 years.
Our aim is to offer quality products that represent excellent value for money, specialising in works by local craftspeople and artists - supporting art in Cornwall in our own unique way. We pride ourselves in excellent customer service. If there is anything that you would like us to obtain for you please let us know and we will endeavour to fulfil your requirement via special order (sorry, we will try our very best but cannot guarantee to source everything!).
Panache Gallery and Gifts is located on the glorious Rame Peninsula in the village of Kingsand, which is adjoined to the village of Cawsand and so close to Plymouth and other popular Cornish resorts such as Looe, Polperro, etc. The villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are steeped in history and completely unspoilt.
The Rame Peninsula or "The Forgotten Corner" as it is known in some quarters, is just across the border with Devon, in South East Cornwall. Bordered on three sides by water, the Rivers Lynher, Tamar and Plymouth Sound. Mike and I like to think of it as the "undiscovered corner" as we believe that once visited it is such a wonderful place it is unlikely to ever be forgotten! It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and somewhere very special to many people - we hope you agree.
Visitors travelling by car approach the Peninsula by crossing the Tamar Bridge on the A38 or by going through the city of Plymouth and boarding the chain ferry to Torpoint. Visitors on foot take the passenger ferry from Stonehouse in Plymouth to Cremyll or, in season, the Cawsand Ferry ("Western Maid"), a boat trip from the Mayflower Steps on the Barbican across the Sound landing on Cawsand Beach.
Panache is ideally located next to the Kingsand car park and also only a 5 minute walk from the Cawsand car park and the beach where the Cawsand Ferry to and from Plymouth drops off its passengers. There are several good pubs and cafes in the village and lovely walks, so a visit to Panache can be combined with a lovely day out.
As well as in our own delightful and colourful little Cornish art gallery (small is beautiful!!), we have many of our artists' paintings on display at The Cross Keys pub in Cawsand which is a nice Cornish pub in the village serving great food, also the Hayloft restaurant (on the main A38 near Liskeard) where you will always be assured of a warm welcome and fabulous food and The Ring O Bells in Antony serving home cooked meals and excellent value.
Please browse our website, meet some of our artists and view their work.
As well as the work displayed on this web-site, we have many art prints and original art work in stock, including some lovely gifts and jewellery - we hope you get the opportunity to visit us soon.
If you have any questions please use the contact link for details, we would be pleased to hear from you. If you cannot quite find what you are looking for, do let us know and we will do our best to help.
We would very much welcome any feedback.
Kind regards, Jan (Panache Gallery - Proprietor)
